Hola, this is Cristina. Born and raised in beautiful Barcelona.
Amazed and in love with every single detail of this world.
Art came to my life like a summer thunderstorm: unannounced and strong.
And just like it, it felt like a much needed fresh breeze.
So I asked my mind to step aside.
I trusted my hands, and my soul led.
Now I raise my voice with colors and written words.
We tend to think that we are born with one single talent.
That we are meant to do something big with it.
And that we should stick to it. "Become excellent at what you are good at", they say.
Mine was supposed to be writing.
And yet here I am.
With no book to sign but tons of paintings with poemsto share.
Cristina Leno creates in her studios in Mallorca and Barcelona.
Her paintings are made in acrylic on canvas and are available as individual works and curated collections — each accompanied by an original poem.
Her work is held in private collections in Spain and Europe.

ARTIST STATEMENT
Art is a powerful connector. An invisible thread linking souls across time and space.
Every artwork is not just a creation but an act of expansion, an exchange of energy between artist and viewer.
When you stand in front of my paintings,
you might see not only an intimate part of me, but also a part of yourself.
It's an invitation to stare, to feel, to simply be at this very instant.
Where vulnerability transforms into beauty, and where connection itself becomes a work of art.
No painting is finished until the poem is born.
They can be enjoyed separately,
but when paired well, the experience feels complete.
The poem is not a description of the painting.
It is what the painting was trying to say — in a different language.
I hope that whoever lives with one of my paintings finds something different in it every morning. And that one day, the poem says exactly what they could never say themselves.
